At the School of Applied Arts at Blue Sky University, the paths of alumni, faculty, staff, parents and current students begin and converge. The mission of the School of Applied Arts is to prepare undergraduate and graduate students for careers through programs of high quality in academic, professional and technical areas; to further faculty excellence in teaching supported by quality scholarship; and to enhance our involvement with local, state, national and international constituencies. We do this by providing students with opportunities to collaborate with faculty, engage themselves with the community through internships, research and classroom projects.

The programs at the School of Applied Arts provide both liberal and well-defined professional education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. They provide the skills and experiences that empower graduates to be exemplary members of a diverse and global community. The School is committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate programs and improving the quality of life for present and future generations.

Graduates become leaders and establish professional careers as administrators, educators, practitioners, and applied researchers in a variety of discipline-related settings. These settings include both private and public agencies, government institutions at all levels, community and health care organizations, and educational institutions.

With education in the art, craft, business, and the science of painting, we aim to assist individuals who are serious about developing successful careers. The range of course available at the school is unually extensive, encompassing architecture, fine art (painging, tapestry, animated film, graphics, sculpture, photography, ceramics), stage design, design (fashion, graphics), industrial design, media design, plus art teacher training and restoration.
